Getting started

A clear, supported process.

Eligibility for Regional Center services is separate from authorization for Behavior Respite. The planning team determines whether the service is appropriate and identifies the authorized scope and hours through the IPP process. Busy Bee must receive the applicable referral and authorization before services begin.

Talk with your Service Coordinator

Ask whether Behavior Respite may be appropriate based on the person’s needs, family circumstances, and IPP goals.

Provide the referral and authorization

Your Service Coordinator can send the applicable information, or you may contact Busy Bee so we can explain what is needed.

Share what matters

Tell us about communication, choices, strengths, routines, personal-care needs, safety considerations, applicable support strategies, community activities, and scheduling.

Plan for the first visit

We confirm the authorized scope, review important information, and establish expectations with the individual and family before services begin.
